Build Quality
The Compact is meticulously built and hand finished using a combination of cast iron, heavy section steel and ceramics for durability and great heat retention. This is aided by unparalleled levels of quality insulation to prevent wasted heat and keep cooking temperatures at a constant. All serviceable components are of superb quality: Honeywell, Bentone, Danfoss, Sterling – all leading burner and control manufacturers.
Speed and Ability
The Compact responds quickly to instructions; from cold it’s cooking within 20 minutes and a further 10 minutes later roasting temperatures are achieved in the main oven. The lower oven operates at around half the temperature of the top oven. Once the thermostat is set on the Heritage, the temperature will stay there as long as required, and will continue to do this even with the lids up generating additional heat into the room!
Both ovens can take up to six standard trays (34 x 19 cm approx.) or three large trays. We’ve not been beaten by turkey yet! Each hob takes three average size saucepans, which provides huge capacity and great versatility in cooking. When starting range cooking for the first time, get yourself a reliable guide which takes the mystique out of what is really a very simple and better way of cooking.
Flue and Boiler
The Compact can work with a conventional chimney/flue or a low level fan flue, making it a most versatile range cooker capable of being sited almost anywhere. The cooker only models are available with a balanced flue.
With enough efficient boiler options to run various sizes of radiator systems along with a large cylinder, the compact really is small but powerful. The boiler is designed to run on a modern control system, therefore it has the ability to be controlled by time and temperature, meaning you can just put your feet up and relax. http://www.honeywelluk.com.
